TECH-DEV - Error code 128

Error code 128 

 

My tCheck device is reporting an error code 128 and cannot proceed. 

  

Error code 128 is a power-on self-test (POST) failure that says the internal light sources are not strong enough. There are several potential causes for this.  Please try the following: 

  • Replace with fresh/brand new premium batteries.  We recommend Energizer Max. 
  • Ensure the tray is not inside the device when it is powered up. 
  • Nothing has spilled inside the device/tray slot. 
  • Check for any firmware updates that can be installed 

If Error Code 128 persists, please contact Customer Support and provide your order number.
