tCheck is able to measure the potency of both your THCa cannabis as well as CBDa hemp. You will need the flower testing expansion kit and the whole process takes less than 10 minutes.
A short video on the process can be found here (Youtube).
The basic process to test flower is the same as that used in cannabis testing labs. A solvent is used to extract the cannabinoids off the plant material and this extraction is then tested.
Although tCheck only needs about 100mg of plant material for testing, for best results, a larger amount of plant material should be ground up and homogenized (mixed well) before performing the extraction. This homogenization ensures that your test is from a representative sample.
You know how some pieces of fruit are sweeter than others even though they are from the same basket? All plant products are this way. An uneven distribution of sunlight, nutrients, or even wind causes the plant to develop unevenly.
On a cannabis plant, there can be a very significant difference in potency from buds at the top of the plant and those found lower.
