  • Soak in IPA: 99.9% isopropyl alcohol dissolves dried infusion residue — soak the tray in a tightly-sealed container
  • Be patient: Severe cases can take a couple of days; let chemistry do the work
  • Rinse and dry: Rinse a second time in IPA, then dry with a clean microfiber cloth (no fabric softener, no lotion residue)

Help!  I forgot to clean my tray prior to storage and now there is dried goo in the tray!  How do I clean it?

Fortunately, almost everything dissolves in alcohol.  Except for your tray!  We recommend you try soaking your tray in 99.9% isopropyl alcohol until the goo dissolves.  In severe cases, this may take a couple of days.  Be sure the tightly seal the container of alcohol.  Once the goo has been dissolved, rinse again in 99.9% isopropyl alcohol, wash, then dry using a microfiber cloth.

Do not use any petroleum-based cleaner such as Goo-Gone or abrasive cleaner.  When drying your cleaned tray, please be sure that the cloth has not been washed nor dried using any fabric softener.  Also make sure that your hands do not have moisturizing lotion.

See HOW TO - Clean your tray for more information on tray care and maintenance.

If the tray has become damaged from the dried material and you feel it is affecting your results - please see HOW TO - Get a new tray.

The bottom line: rescue dried oil from your testing tray — Take the guesswork out of dosing — measure exactly what's in your infusion.
